One of the words that describe Jesus is that of “compassion.” The Apostle John shares with us two stories from the life of Jesus that reflect His compassion. The first is the compassion shown to a woman caught in sin and tried and condemned by the Law. In His compassion, Jesus utters words that bring conviction to her accusers and that set her free. The second is the compassion shown to a man born blind. The disciples asked Jesus one of the most asked questions yet today: Why do bad things happen to good people? Why is there evil in the world? Jesus gives an answer to that question and then proceeds to heal this blind man. Jesus still offers us compassion today. And in His compassion, Jesus still sets people free. https://traffic.libsyn.com/secure/buffalocov/20190217.mp3 Subscribe to the Sermon Archives Post navigation Christian Ethics: Lesson 6Church History: Reformation to the Present – Lesson 5
