Pastor Appreciation

OCTOBER IS PASTOR APPRECIATION MONTH

This is a great opportunity for individuals, families, and the church as a whole to show love and appreciation for our pastors! By showing appreciation, we recognize and encourage those whom God has called to proclaim His message and lead His people.

“The elders who direct the affairs of the church well are worthy of double honor, especially those whose work is preaching and teaching.” – 1 Timothy 5:17

SOME IDEAS FOR SHOWING ENCOURAGEMENT AND APPRECIATION

• Write a note, send a card or an email that lets them know how they are impacting your family.
• Invite them to your home for a meal, or plan a small group potluck evening and invite your pastor and spouse.
• Send them out for dinner one night or give a simple gift card.
• Treat the pastor’s spouse or acknowledge them and their contributions/talents.
• Drop off a homemade treat or dessert.
• Give a gift of time – perhaps yard work, home repairs, child or pet care, an outing of golf or fishing, etc.
• Ask how you can pray for them!
