Shoe Away Hunger, a ministry of Good In The Hood, offers affordable quality footwear for those in need. In addition, it helps us to raise the important dollars we need to continue feeding over 4,000 people each month through our Feeding The Future programs and services. This amazing program offers a simple and meaningful way for you to join with us as we work together to eliminate local hunger “one sole at a time”.

SHOE AWAY HUNGER SHOE DRIVE

Buffalo Covenant Church is honored to partner with Terry Munoz from Side by Side Ministries and Shoe Away Hunger/Good in the ‘Hood to host a Shoe Drive and Shoe Event. Donations of new or gently-used footwear, including sneakers, sports shoes, casual shoes, boots, flip-flops, ice skates etc. will be accepted from April 11-April 25.

• Please only donate new or gently-used shoes that will be able to be resold. Please do not donate unacceptable, broken or old shoes.
• Men’s, women’s and children’s shoes are accepted. Children’s and women’s dress shoes are the most sought after. Donations accepted include sneakers, sports shoes, casual shoes, boots, flip-flops, ice skates etc.
• Please tie or band the shoes together and place them in a plastic bag to keep them dry.
• Drop off shoe donations at Buffalo Covenant Church between April 11 and April 25.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY
We encourage families, individuals and youth to volunteer to help sort donated shoes on April 25. This is a great opportunity to serve others while enjoying time together. The Mission Commission will provide lunch for all volunteers at 12:00 pm.

SHOE AWAY HUNGER SHOE EVENT

A Community Shoe Event will be held on April 25 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm in the Buffalo Covenant Church parking lot. The proceeds from this event will go directly to providing food and resources to those in need. For each pair of shoes sold, Shoe Away Hunger is able to provide food for one person for a week!

Please contact the BCC Church Office with any questions or if you wish to volunteer to sort donated shoes with other BCC volunteers.
