// March 29, 9:30am – A Final Journey to Rome

Watch last week’s service here.

This morning we will conclude our journey through the Book of Acts. This book closes with Paul under house-arrest in Rome as he awaits his trial before Caesar. But the journey to Rome is an eventful one for Paul, filled with lessons in dependence upon God. The journey actually begins with an arrest (an unlawful arrest) in Jerusalem. Paul was the recipient of some of the most incredible hatred ever shown toward another man. Yet, God spared his life using his Roman citizenship. Because of his arrest, Paul was offered the opportunity of sharing his story before governors and even a king. Paul’s story even caused one ruler to remark that Paul was insane. God never promises that we will always have a receptive audience as we share our faith-stories, but we must share them nonetheless. Finally Paul was placed on a ship bound for Italy, but that ship would never arrive because of a powerful storm where Paul, the prisoner, became Paul, the commander-in-chief. Amazing leadership principles are found in Acts 27.
